He has worked in the fashion and creative space for over 15 years and believes in the importance of the local creative industry as a key component and contributor to eradicating poverty, creating employment opportunities and to the building of the South African and African economies.
Lorraine has 15 years’ experience in operations, retail, project management, sales, and training both locally and internationally.
From Europe to South America and Africa, she has a comprehensive and multi-cultural experience in dealing with key players in the public and private sector and understands the necessity of quality control and excellence within the retail industry. She is passionate about seeing the growing informal creative industry within Africa take its rightful place as a competitive contributor to the national and international formal market and economy.
Cecilia founded Studio 05 Institute of Fashion over 19 years ago and has trained some of the key players within South African fashion today.
She has run 3-year diploma courses and continues to train and equip the next generation of fashion graduates and clothing manufacturing contributors through SETA accredited long and short-term courses. Over the years, she has also worked closely with government institutions and NGOs to make fashion education accessible to all, including people with disabilities and continues to service communities through on the job training, tailor made short courses and SETA accredited qualifications.
An entrepreneur and former international senior banking & finance professional with diverse experience with major institutions including RBS and EY covering businesses across different sectors including fashion, retail, e-commerce and manufacturing.
Tsankho’s’s focus is to co-create with stakeholders, sustainable business models that utilise global best practice whilst being adapted to the prevalent ecosystem and its unique characteristics.
She also provides mentorship and coaching to assist in root route to market strategies for entrepreneurs.
Peter has 10 years’ experience of coaching and mentoring SMEs. He is a specialist in business development and offers financial know-how and mentoring/coaching assistance to entrepreneurs to help them maximize growth and profitability that encourages sustainability and success.
He is committed to supporting SMEs and NGOs through all stages of development from start-up through to maturity, believing that growth in these sectors is vital for socio-economic development in Africa.
